Video advertising and why you should be utilising it

Many marketers are still trying to work out whether they should kick off with a decent video advertising campaign. Or effectively wondering why they are already doing it.

To simplify things, if you’re not using video at present within your marketing strategy you will be left behind.

Here are some reasons as to why I have come to this conclusion:

1. Your customers are getting lazy and want to watch video rather than read pages and pages of content.

• 92% of B2B Prospects are watching digital video

• Normally around one-third of shoppers will buy a product after viewing the ad

• Over 4 BILLION videos are watched on YouTube EVERYDAY!

2. More conversions

It is proven that video ads convert sales, the biggest names in the game (Amazon/Ebay) are utilising this, again adding more weight to this argument. But remember, you, as a local business can use it too.

3. Virality.

The fact that people are more inclined to Share video.

People who view a video and enjoy its content are more inclined to share it with contacts.

Did you know that more than 700 videos are shared by twitter every single DAY.

A simple share of your video content can spread into an absolute phenomenon.

4. Easily viewable on mobile.

As we all know the use of mobile and tablet related platforms has risen considerably over the years and shows no signs of stopping.

Your business can produce a short showcase that keeps interest and if you keep these at around 30 seconds long, the viewer will stay with you for the whole duration.

Also, people using desktops are less likely to watch the videos the whole way through.

5. You can communicate lots of information in a short space of time.

This is ideal for the impatient digital world and of course making your budgets work, as you will save on production and editing costs the shorter the video.

It helps you organically .

One of the worlds largest search engines (think we all know who), put a priority on content of the video variety. So, by distributing videos to your website, social media, blogs and so on, it is more likely that your targeted audience will find you when searching for your services.

7. Video can tell a story much better than other formats.

The impact of video from an emotional perspective is much greater. By using this in the right way you can secure a better personal relationship with your audience effectively connecting the emotion with your product or service.

8. The stats don’t lie.

The market leading video sites such as YouTube and Facebook enable you (very early on) to determine how your video is performing.

You will see who is liking, sharing and more importantly engaging and this will help you for all future campaigns, effectively targeting your key demographics.

9.Competitors.

There all at it, effectively planning a video to showcase themselves.

If you don’t, you will be left behind.
