We sprung a bit of a surprise recently when we unveiled a number of local billboard sites, like this one on Charminster Road, Bournemouth, that target one individual person and their business.
‘The marketing industry has become somewhat obsessed with the pursuit of personalisation of late’ said Ross Taylor, Managing Director at Top Cat Media, ‘What we’re demonstrating here is that ‘old school’ media can be truly personal too, along with all of the major digital channels’.
The unique marketing campaign has already generated the ‘return on investment’ that all marketers seek, with its refreshing approach already securing two new larger scale business clients, one of which a national E-commerce retailer. This was a test for us at Top Cat and it already seems to have the potential for making its mark within the local business community.
In the meantime Ross added ‘Whilst many businesses within our sector tend to wind things down at this time of year, we thought we would seize the opportunity by launching these in a number of locations. We have been changing the name of our target clients once a week, so in some cases the decision makers will see them as they travel to and from work. These have been changing for the full run up to Christmas’ – so watch out, you may be named next!
This is just one of the many ways we try to do things differently in the market place. We don’t only work with our clients by offering different marketing solutions, we also follow our own advice and implement these ideas in house.
